Professor of Biblical Interpretation at the New York Theological Seminary, and author of the recently published book, The Politics of Jesus; Rediscovering the True Revolutionary Nature of Jesus’ Teachings and How They’ve Been Corrupted. Dr. Hendricks addresses the issue of “faith” in the current political and social climate, and focuses on the ways in which Jesus’ teachings are being hijacked by disingenuous Dr. Hendricks is also author of the critically acclaimed novel, Living Water, inspired by the biblical story of the woman at the well. He is a Professor of Biblical Interpretation at the New York Theological Seminary and an Ordained Elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church. He has served as a professor at Drew University, as visiting scholar at Princeton Theological Seminary, and as President of Payne Theological Seminary, the oldest African American theological institution in the United States. |
